Ilyichevsk commercial sea port - is one of the largest ports of Ukraine. The port of Ilychevsk is included into three largest ports of Ukraine. Capacities of the port allow to process above 15 million tons of cargoes per year. At moorings vessels with unlimited length are accepted, with immersion up to 13 m. It is one of the largest and developed ports of Black sea. Favourable position of the port is determined by that it is in junction of transport corridors, located in the center of the largest industrial area of Ukraine and by the right is refered to as " a sea gate of Ukraine ". The port is connected by railway and automobile roads, the air and river connection to all countries of the world and the CIS. The port occupies one of the leading places among ports of Ukraine in processing of international and cabotage cargoes, provides transit transportations of various cargoes, including through ferry communication, transshippment of containers and packages. Average depths on the approach to the port make 13,5 m and vessels of practically any carrying capacity can be served; that puts Ilyichevsk port in more favourable position in comparison with other ports of Black sea. The port is opened for calling of vessels all year around. The port is equipped by all modern means of communication, including satellite.
